runtime.getManifest()

Get the complete manifest.json file, deserialized from JSON to an object.

Syntax

browser.runtime.getManifest()

None.

An object representing the manifest.

Get the manifest and log the “name” property:

let manifest = browser.runtime.getManifest();
console.log(manifest.name);
